The SNOO got us through the 3am stretch and I still feel weird recommending a $1600 bassinet

We were gifted one and I was fully prepared to be the skeptical dad who thinks it's an overpriced box. Then week two hit and the responsive rocking during a crying jag actually worked when nothing else did, including me.

I still wince at the price when people ask, and I get that it's genuinely out of reach for a lot of families, which makes me uncomfortable recommending it without a huge asterisk.

For parents who used one, did it earn the price for you or was it more of a nice-to-have?
