MetaO Smartlife Privacy Policy & Cookie Notice

1. Information We Collect

We may collect contact information; account information; transaction information; device and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent, referral source, click path, search terms, product interactions, video interactions, and sharing activity; marketing and communication information; creator and affiliate information; brand and business information; cookies, pixels, tracking identifiers, and analytics data.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to operate the website; display product pages; process inquiries, waitlists, orders, returns, and support; track product-page performance; track referral links, creator links, affiliate links, and campaign performance; communicate with users, creators, brands, and partners; send permitted newsletters or marketing messages; improve recommendations, user experience, analytics, and product pages; detect fraud, spam, abuse, fake referrals, and security issues; comply with legal obligations; and protect MetaO's rights, users, brands, partners, and services.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies, pixels, tags, analytics tools, advertising technologies, affiliate tracking links, and similar technologies to remember preferences, analyze traffic, measure product performance, track clicks/referrals/conversions, improve content and recommendations, support marketing/retargeting, and prevent fraud. Some tools may be provided by analytics providers, advertising platforms, email platforms, affiliate tracking systems, payment processors, or e-commerce tools. Users can adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies; some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers such as hosting providers, analytics providers, email providers, payment processors, logistics providers, warehouses, CRM providers, fraud prevention providers, and support tools; brands, sellers, distributors, or fulfillment partners where necessary to process orders, inquiries, returns, warranties, product support, or commercial requests; creators, affiliates, or referral partners to track referrals, calculate commissions, prevent fraud, and operate campaigns; legal or regulatory authorities where required; business partners or successors in connection with financing, investment, merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset sale; and other parties with consent or as disclosed at collection.

5. California Privacy Notice

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, subject to applicable thresholds and exceptions. These may include the right to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. Submit requests to legal@metaoriental.com. If MetaO engages in activities that qualify as "sale" or "sharing," MetaO will provide appropriate opt-out mechanisms.

6. Email Communications

Users may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting support@metaoriental.com. Transactional, legal, security, order, account, and service-related emails may still be sent where necessary.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the website, provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and maintain business records.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. However, no system is completely secure, and MetaO cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Connected Social Accounts (Creator Program)

If you apply to the MetaOriental creator program, you may connect a social account so we can confirm that the channel you are applying with is yours. This section describes that data specifically. Connecting an account is optional and is never required to shop on MetaOriental.

YouTube

When you connect YouTube, you are asked to grant read-only access using the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly scope. With your permission we make a single read of: your channel ID, channel title, channel handle, channel thumbnail image, subscriber count, and the like counts on your ten most recent uploads.

We use this to confirm you control the channel and to let a member of our team assess your application. We store the channel ID, title, handle, thumbnail URL, subscriber count, and average like count.

By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and you acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke our access at any time at Google security settings.

MetaOriental's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

TikTok

TikTok sign-in is not yet available on MetaOriental. At present, if you apply with a TikTok account, we store only the account handle you type into the application form, and a member of our team looks up that public profile.

When TikTok sign-in becomes available, connecting an account will read basic profile information — your TikTok open ID, union ID, display name, and avatar image — which we will store for the same purpose. We do not request access to your TikTok videos, follower statistics, or analytics.

Applies to every connected account

We store no access or refresh tokens. Any token issued during sign-in is discarded immediately after the one-time read, so we cannot access your account again unless you connect it once more.
We never post, upload, modify, or delete anything on your behalf, on any platform.
We do not sell, transfer, or share this data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or to build profiles beyond assessing your creator application.
A person reviews every application. No account is approved or rejected automatically.
Deletion. Email tech@metaoriental.com to have a connected account and its stored data removed. Removing it does not affect your MetaOriental shopping account.

10. Children

MetaO is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact legal@metaoriental.com.

11. International Users

If you access MetaO from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

12. Changes and Contact
