Devil's advocate: is the Pod 5 Ultra actually worth it over a $40 mattress fan?

Before anyone comes at me, I own one. Paid full price, no discount code, no affiliate nonsense. I still think about the fan question more than I'd like to admit.

The temperature swings genuinely help my partner who runs hot, no argument there. But most nights I could probably get 80% of the benefit from a cheap fan pointed at the mattress and a good set of sheets.
