I'm 41 and learning piano on a keyboard that lights up. No regrets so far, lots of embarrassment.

Bought the PopuPiano because I live in a one-bedroom and a real piano is a joke. It's compact, the app lights the keys and tells me what to play, and I got through 'Ode to Joy' without crying. My partner, listening through a wall, applauded. Sarcastically.

It's not a real piano. The keys don't feel like weighted keys, and I know that. But at this stage I'm not the problem, the keys aren't the problem, I just need to keep showing up.

Adult learners: how long until it stopped feeling embarrassing? And did you eventually need a real piano?
