Aiper Scuba V3 vs just paying the pool guy — which actually wins on your math?
Did the spreadsheet thing after buying one, comparing the upfront cost against a year of pool service, and the numbers looked great on paper. Reality has been a little messier than the spreadsheet.
It genuinely climbs the walls and gets the waterline scum that always used to bug me, that part's legit. But I still net leaves off the surface myself most days and had to fish it out once when it seemed to lose its bearings near a step.
For people who fully replaced pool service with this thing — did it actually hold up, or are you quietly still paying someone to come by every few months for the stuff it misses?
