Vote: is a $360 GPS collar worth it if your dog has never actually run off?

Mine is a couch potato who bolts only toward cheese. But every time I read a lost-dog post I feel the dread, and the AI health report stuff is tempting too.

Rational me says buy it after the first scare. Anxious me says buy it before. Settle this.
