Who the Roborock Saros Z70 is for
The Z70's distinguishing part is the OmniGrip arm, a foldable five-axis mechanical arm that picks up small obstacles — socks, cables, light objects — instead of driving around them or dragging them across the room. Underneath it is a flagship cleaner with 22,000 Pa of suction, dual rubber brushes and a 7.98 cm body low enough for most furniture. It suits homes where the floor is rarely clear.
Is the Roborock Saros Z70 worth $1,999.99?
The arm is the reason for the price and it is also the least proven part — it lifts light objects rather than tidying a room, so expectations should be set at socks rather than at toys and shoes. Everything else about the Z70 is excellent and available for considerably less in Roborock's own range. Buy the Z70 if picking things up off the floor is the thing stopping you running a robot; buy a cheaper model if it is not.
