Where to buy the Lymow One Plus
Lymow sells the One Plus at lymow.com, and MetaOriental links there rather than shipping it. The Lymow One Plus costs $2,799.00.
Who the Lymow One Plus is for
The One Plus is built for large or awkward yards rather than a flat suburban lawn. It runs on tracks instead of wheels, which is what lets it hold slopes and wet ground, and it cuts with dual rotary blades in SK5 high-carbon steel at up to 6000 RPM rather than the spinning razor strips most robot mowers use. Navigation combines RTK with VSLAM, so no perimeter wire has to be buried.
Is the Lymow One Plus worth $2,799.00?
At $2,799.00 the One Plus costs more than most robot mowers and is aimed at ground they would get stuck on, so the comparison is with hiring someone rather than with a cheaper robot. Real rotary blades handle long and thick grass that string-style cutters smear rather than cut. A small flat lawn does not need any of this, and a wire-guided mower at a third of the price will do it.
